Code 10

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my POV tablet to my computer (win7 32bit), but I won't succeed. The Android ADB interface doesnt work.

I constantly get the message Code 10: Device not found. I had downloaded the "How to install usb drivers for the advent vega" file, but it won't work.

Now, i know that the POV isn't the advent vega, but I though both devices were almost the same.

I did accomplish to put a stock rom on it, in the recovery, so that usb driver is installed. The problem is with the modaco usb driver.. He says that the best usb driver is installed, but he won't recognize my device.

(Tried a lot, also the "What if he still doesnt recognize" topic and searched a while through the forum..)

Please help. Kindly regards.

Duvee.

I was under the impression that the pov was host only so could not be conneccted to a of unless it was in nvflash mode for installing new firmware .

If you wanted to hook it up to the of it will need Vega stock not pov. If you just want to install a new rom the easiest way is to use adbwireless that means no usb neccesary. Just use it to install clockwork mod and Paul's recovery API and use those to install roms straight from the device.

The automated driver install package that simonta put together worked for me, even on Win 7 x64. Try searching the forum for 'AUDI'.

@warriorscot

So, what youre saying is, that instead of the POV .10 stock rom i installed, i had to install the vega .9 rom?

@Dave

Will search right away!

I forgot about the POV having host mode as standard (I am running the Vega, currently with 1.09 stock ROM). That is probably your main issue.

soooo... installing the stock rom of advent vega will solve my problem? because it will have its own settings then, instead of the pov settings?

Yeah but if all you are wanting is adb access just do it wireless and save the hassle all the custom roms apart from cm7 have vega stock rom as the base. So you are probably going to end up flashing it anyway with a vega rom of some kind.

yes, i want the mr8 rom on my device..

my computer gives a sound now that a usb device is inserted. but still the Android ADB interface gives a error.

How can you install MR8 wireless? I have vegatools 3, is there a way i can use this programm?

edit: ok, installed the vega rom, now i can acces my sd card.. but with debugging enabled i can't reach my root folders and still an error at the android adb interface.

Android adb interface gives hardware id: usb\vid_0955&pid_7000

And the USB composite device gives a hardware id:

-USB\VID_04F2&PID_B044&REV_1112

-USB\VID_04F2&PID_B044

So, it isnt possible for me to work with this driver and therefore being unable to install the modaco rom?

-USB\VID_04F2&PID_B044&REV_1112

-USB\VID_04F2&PID_B044

I don't know what this device is, it's nothing to do with the Vega.

You say you can't read your sd card with USB debugging turned on. You didn't also turn on USB Stoage did you? If so, turn it off.

Ok i got it working..

But, i installed the custom modaco rom.. and now it sticks in the boot.

It said during the installation "no more room on device".. and therefore it missed the last .dat file.
