Guest mpzross Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 My 6-month old San Fran, Pauls 2.1 ROM installed on first day, not updated since and very happy with it, appears dead. If I push the power button it vibrates once. If I hold the power button in it pulses the vibrator but that's it. No illumination of screen, nothing. Anyone got any suggestions how to breathe life back into it? Or do I have to try and find the receipt...
Guest JimJam707 Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 battery seems empty charge it xD Have you tried plugging it in?
Guest The Soup Thief Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 xD Have you tried plugging it in? Very impressed that you managed to get 6 months' out of a single charge on Paul's 2.1 - I struggled to get 24 hours out of that! I'm guessing you probably have tried to charge it, but that it ain't taking on charge for some reason I've read posts on here about this situation before Search a bit and the thread will turn up
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 you can try to plug the blade with battery in you can try to plug the blade with battery out (perhaps faulty battery) you can try with / without sd card in
Guest mamboboy Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 The power button press + vibrate means the battery is out of juice. Plug it into the mains if you currently use USB, if all else fails next step is to buy a new battery...
Guest mpzross Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. My first thought yesterday was that it had 'crashed', as it does occasionally, so I took the battery out for a minute which made no difference, so I took it out for ten minutes, still no joy, so I left it out all night and, amazingly, this morning it came to life again. I can only assume that the little green man needed a rest. Panic over!
Guest Skip Tracer Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Panic over! Had mine crash for the first time today in nearly three months while in stand-by in my pocket with JJ r9. Got the phone out of my pocket and touching the on/off button to bring it out of stand-by did nothing although if you pressed home, menu or back button it did vibrate while pressing the volume up / down or the on off button did nothing. Removed and re-inserting the battery did the fix. Going to show the OH now how to get the back off incase hers throws a wobbly while she is out.
