Guest Culbin Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I have a Vega docking station (3 USB host ports) and I've also tried switching the inbuilt USB port from slave to host using Paul's R8 mod. I'm finding it is totally hit and miss as to whether any USB devices I plug in are displayed in iFileManager. I've tried every variation of rebooting the Vega and plugging the USB devices in and I've tried many different pen drives and card readers. I've tested the USB devices connecting to PC and they are fine, and if I fiddle around enough they eventually do appear listed on the Vega. It's driving me nuts! Does anyone have any advice on this issue? Many thanks.

Android does not currently have a broad range of drivers so it is rather hit and miss whether a particular device will work on the Vega but as the OS matures I'm sure the number of supported peripherals will increase. :mellow:

The connector on the tablet is quite deep behind the border of the housing, and the cable plug didn't go in far enough. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I cut off a part of the cable connectors plastic and now I have no more problems. But that will not apply for the docking station I guess.
