Guest DannyDanny Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 20110427_Kharkov_zte_blade_daily_roads_test.3gp This is the title of the video so I presume it was taken from the blade. This is much better than what my Blade can do. What do you guys think?
Guest flat_steve Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Daily Roads appears to be some sort of black box software for vehicles, it continuously records video - you're right, the image quality and framerate is pretty good though I think LGcamera gets close (though the frame rate on display in this vid is even higher).
Guest DannyDanny Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 actually you are correct. This is an app that fuctions as a blackbox and it does allow Blade to capture in higher resolution and different codecs. I think CM7 does not support some settings but ill do some test and see what works. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.d...e=search_result really cool app for free.

It works in CM 7.0.3  800x480 mpeg/MP4
Guest Whatever75 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 It works in CM 7.0.3 :D 800x480 mpeg/MP4 I strongly recommend trying lgcamera software. I got rid of ZTE's stock video/camera softwares after I find this one. With this too you can record 800x480 MP4, and software is full of different options - and it's free. (Well, ok, you can buy it also but what I understand free version does not miss any features, highly recommended!)
Guest OtherguyX Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 where do i get it from. Every time i set it up, it keeps reverting back to the original crappy settings. How do i make the settings permanent.
Guest Roph Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Are you sure you have the newest version? Go to the market, then to my apps, and see if there's an option to update lgcamera. It now saves settings properly for me. I'm on the FLB R11 ROM if that makes any difference.
Guest OtherguyX Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 YES, ATLAST!!! I DONT HAVE TO KEEP REAPPLYING SETTINGS!

I have tried almost everything but not really satisfied with results, your video-grabbing setting were great, so I thought that maybe you also have something to say about still-pics? And is it true that you cannot capture widescreen pics? At least it seems like there is no suitable resolution for that.
Guest Roph Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Unlike video where there are technical limitations (so the wrong settings will result in failure to capture anything), you'll always get a still picture ok. Just play around with them, some look better in different light / situations than others. There's no correct answer or "good" setting. For example lowering the contrast will let more detail come through in low light shots, but at the expense of added grain.

Okay, but am I right that there's no widescreen capable resolution for still-pics? That one would be nice, maybe some other cam-program(?).
Guest slitz Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Widescreen photos are sometimes just cropped normal photos, not really much of a detail. You're never going past the pixel limit for the photo but you can always be under it to meet the widescreen needs.
Guest Roph Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 You can take 2048x1536 photos on the blade, so you can easily crop a 1920x1080 image out of it :D

Guest Whatever75 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 (edited) that's right, cropping a pic is better than shooting a pic and trying to get the best shot Okay that's one way to do it =) Didn't even think that.. (Like I ever think about anything..) Edited June 1, 2011 by Whatever75
