No, it won't, all Nightlies <40 will work only with Gen1-Phones, at least natively. You can try kallt_kaffees universal CM7 converter, though, it works both ways.

No one tried using nightly 8 yet? when gapps are installed, market crashes, homekey doesn't work and screenlock disappears...

make sure you are using the versions of gapps that was current when N8 was built

Your problem being that you're using a version that's SOO out of date? Is there much of a point? CM7 has barely got off the ground at that point.
