kernel overclock simple help

Ok, i have rooted lg gt540 that i wanna intstall a custom kernel that i can overclock. i have 2.1 update-1. Already with app2sd installed. now, all i want is the overclockable kernel, no cm7 or other custom rom crap. i just want the simplest way to install this kernel. Prefferably not having to download heaps of rubbish to do it but i guess i will if i have to. thanks.
