Guest Matchstick Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I've run into a slight problem with the official firmware update from the Asus website. I downloaded the file, put it in the correct place and the tablet picked it up and tried to install it, but I was rooted so the tablet rebooted into CWM recovery rather than the stock one. The problem is that some kind of flag appears to have been set somewhere saying the that the update has been applied and should now be ignored which means that even though I've unrooted and gone back to the stock recovery I can't persuade the transformer to try applying the update again. Does anyone have any idea where such a flag might be being set ? (If we can identify how to reset this it might make removing custom firmware with the official updates a trivial exercise - or it might not, but it's worth a look  )
Guest Matchstick Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 OK, I have no idea what I actually did but I just rebooted the tablet yet again and this time it ready the update folder and allowed me to install it. I don't know what was different this time around so that's not really much help to anyone else with the same problem but it does prove that there is a way to get it the update working again, even if I haven't got a clue what it is
