gps disables network on GEN2

Hi Guys,

I have a strange problem with my GEN2 OSF with Cyanogen 7.0.2. When I use google maps with the gps enabled it disables my phones network completely, I can't even make a call and have to re-boot the phone to get it to work, wi-fi works OK but that's no good when I'm out and about.

Am I missing something obvious? I've tried a factory reset but that doesn't work so I tried a different ROM (SSRLS5) and that did work fine so the hardware must be good. Any ideas would be great.

Does the network discconect when you get a GPS fix, or as soon as you open google maps? It seems to work fine for me (on CM7 n60)

There are a couple of threads on the internet about this issue. It has maybe something to do with multiple APNs...

Hi. I had the very same problem with any rom I tried. Currently on Nightly 60 (GEN2 updated with TPT).

The only solution I found so far is disabling the "use wifi" to get position setting. If I use just gps I seem

to be fine. I'm on a 3g only carrier (3 Italia) and I suspect many people are affected but will not

experience the problem since will just switch to their 2g mode.

Thanks guys, just gone to nightly 61 and tried all the suggestions posted but still no luck.
