Ok, so I just used VISIONARY to root my device and installed the WiFi Tether app.

Started it up, and my iPad2 is not finding it.

Where am I going wrong?

Thanks

Tried Barnacle too, and although the pad sees it, it does not connect to the internet.

Hello,

To clarify, the iPad sees the WiFi network your DHD broadcasts, but does not connect to it?

I assume you have checked all the obvious things like encryption & 3G status. ?

What ROM are you using?

Is it on Orange by anychance? I had the same issue. Would connect to the wifi "hotspot" but no internet access. Aparently orange were trying to stop people using the facility. If you look at settings-wireless & networks-mobile networks-access point names, you should see a third apn called consumer broadband. change its APN to Orangeinternet, username = Orange, Password = Multimedia. set authenication to chap and you should be good to go.

I found this info at Wifi tether

Hope it works, worked for me.

Cheers
