Guest coronet Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 It's pretty much Summer here in California, and the days have been getting hotter. Mysteriously, my Streak is also losing at lot of battery life as a result. I check my battery usage and running applications to make sure there isn't a random culprit, so unless it's something else not implied in one of those two menus, I think the extreme outdoor heat is killing my battery life, and I wanted to seek help. It's been pretty much consistently 30 degree Celsius weather, and I keep my phone in my pocket. But I think the heat of my body and the heat of the sun beaming down onto my jeans have been "baking" my Streak; it's most certainly warm to the touch when I take it out. Anyways, I'll find something as severe as a 60% decrease in battery life in just an hour if I'm outdoors! I'm wondering if I can get a sanity check and see if anyone else has experienced a battery drain this quick due to heat? And then lastly, what else can I do to prevent this, if I'm going to be in a hot climate and in buildings with no air con?
Guest JaxWeather Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 In Florida here, and my Streak is always in a leather case clipped to my pocket and we have had something like 9 -1 0 days of over 90 degree days in April already and even after spending hours outside doing yard work, with my Streak in it's black leather case, and listening to music from the streak via bluetooth headphones I have not noted any significant increase in battery use... Just my experience, Bob
