I think one comes preinstalled in the standard android rom but if not is there an app I could download I've tried one already ive found on the market place but it didn't seem to have the correct permissions needed to run even basic commands like df or dir

Guest Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 (edited) Hi, Terminal emulator works fine. It contains df, but aamof I think df is available out of the box? For advanced functionalities like ssh you'll have to install additional stuff. Edited May 5, 2011 by Guest
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 you need to root your phone you have 2 choices you upgrade to a 2.2 rom already rooted you stay in stock 2.1 rom and then you need the app to root your phone there is a mod of z4root somewhere in the forum to permanently root your phone (normal app you are rooted till next reboot)
