Facebook app problem

Every time I try to run the Facebook app, I get a Force Close. I have the latest OTA update. Is it me, or does everyone have a problem with Facebook?

This only happens to me if I have the FB widget on a homescreen. If drop the widget, the app works fine.

Having said that, I find it better to use the full web interface on the TF anyway.

I'm not a facebook user myself, but I think you should be able to upload pictures etc from the main site - so the website should just be as functional as it is in a PC anyway. And for just status updates, I'd use either just a widget or something like Seesmic or Tweetdeck that has support for twitter and FB.

Edit: There is an app for facebook that has been tweaked for tables, might be worth a look.

Yes, its a widget problem. The actual app works fine. I put a shortcut on the home screen, instead of a widget, and this works fine. But an update (to Facebook or the Asus software) is clearly needed.

To be fair, many widgets that were designed for phones are pretty rubbish on a tablet screen. Twitter and the Google Reader come to mind, but there are others.

They need to start making bigger (or better, adjustable-size) ones, once they've got the basic "not working" fixed.
