Guest mckal13 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 I bought a cheapo flexi-keyboard off fleabay for 4 quid and I am happy to say it works. I would however love to map the keyboard to carry out functions directly - say press ctrl+alt+d to open dolphin, or even simple things like increase and decrese volume. I noticed in the /system/usr/keylayout folder there are a few files which could be edited to alllow my dreams to come true. Can someone help me out with this? Is there is a GUI program/app for android which does it? If manual is the only option, baby steps would be appreciated! Cheers x
Guest Zebrahead Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Yup! You can't map things like dolphin but you can do what would usually be a hardware buttons, ie trackball actions, volume, home, back, menu.... look up the app button remapper on xda. I don't know whether the gui will work on the vega but you can use the helper app to get the keycodes yourself and edit the keylayouts. I can confirm it works fine as I've done it myself ^^ Zeb
