[Solved] How much RAM on OSF/BLADE

Hi there,

Just checking some stuff in Quick System Info, free from Market.

Under Memory, I got this result:

Note, it shows 416MB??

Is this correct, or have I less than the normal amount, or is the other 100MB used by Graphics Processor??

Any thoughts, could anyone else compare results using the same tool.

Some is taken by the OS and never made available to the user.

416 / 512 ram isn't bad at all though. Especially when devices like the Pulse have < 40mb available :mellow:

Not taken by the OS, but used by phone Hardware.

The Radio uses some, Camera uses some, GPU uses some etc

the 416MB is all thats left for the OS :mellow:

ah ya see, i was using neighbours wifi which is quite sketchy :mellow:

The phones really shouldnt be advertised as having 512MB RAM

I don't see why not - they have it - you just can't use it...

But then going back to that "but this - but you can't use it" does seem a little weird :o

But you can't have a go at them for lying - they aren't :D

HOWEVER: they do say it can use up to 32gb micro SD cards and i think they should have the decency to tell us some supported cards :/
