Displaying number of new texts / emails on homepage

Hi there,

Before I installed a custom rom my phone use to tell me on the home page that I had:

X new messages

X new emails

This wasnt in the notification bar it was on the homepage. Now it won't display - it just shows them in the notification bar.

Is there any way to get this back? I'm using the Swedish 2.2 Rom with the Nexus Live wallpaper.

Depends on the launcher, try using luancherpro, I know it supports this.... Missed calls, new SMS, new Emails (GMAIL).

Do you mean on the lockscreen? This is one feature of the Orange stock ROM that I miss on froyo...still havent found anything :mellow:

Install Widget Locker and use an sms unread widget

Works perfectly!
