Guest Titas Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 OK - another plea for help! I flashed R12 over R11 (no wipe required or done) & all seemed fine. Much later I noticed battery stats were inaccurate so tried to open Recovery to wipe stats but phone stuck on green android. Uninstalled/reinstalled ROM Manager & reflashed recovery; tried flashing earlier versions & even uninstalled & reinstalled manually (Recovery Manager says current recovery not recognised) but it still stuck on android (actually recovery "froze" & I had to FC it once or twice). I tried to install CM7 via curl66 TPT but again phone stuck on android. Only way out each time is to pull the battery. The phone actually works fine (except batt stats) but I have no access to backup & can't upgrade. I would have thought that ClockworkMod Recovery was corrupted but I guess all the reinstalls mean the problem is elsewhere? Any ideas on how to fix- please!!

That's for GEN2 only (3.0.2.7) , no warning when you are prompted that there is an update available.......dreadful stuff from ROM Manager.... Go into RM app on apps list in settings, and clear cache..... then launch ROM Manager....... Go to All Clockwork Recoveries at bottom......and tap You should get a list, including 3.0.1.4...... Install that recovery, it is GEN1 for sure...... You may be prompted again by RM re update, ignore if on GEN1. Hope this helps.

Guest Titas Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Wow! That sounds like it could be the problem - will try it & let you know. So much trouble on this & people need to know that latest CMR can't be used on Gen1. Lets hope this will save them the hassle too! Thanks soooo much!! Will post update later

ROM Manager guys pls note - warning required for gen1 users to ignore update prompt! You are welcome guys, but I cannot take full credit. Skip Tracer and others helped me with this here Thanks to those ppl too  and a big fat to the ROM Manager dev(s) for not inserting a warning for ZTE Blade GEN1 users.
