hi all,

I'm from the uk, but going to florida for 2 weeks so want to take my blade.

Is it triband, will it work in the states?

Do phone operators in the states do nice cheap payg sim cards that i could buy from the local walmart or wherever?

Will an american SIM work in a UK phone?

If anyone knows, that would be a great help, especially the best place to pick up a cheap SIM card!

1. What do the phone specs say?

2. Go look at the Walmart web site.

3. You'll find out when you try

p.s. I have no idea :o

Afaik at&t and tmobile are the only major networks which use sim cards (sprint and verizon use a different system)

Also I remember seeing a thread here a while back which said that only 2g worked in the US

That must make it awkward for users to switch around the providers?

I'm in the US right now and I can tell that it only works on 2G mode... I'm using a SIM card from T-Mobile - it's a Simple Mobile $40 Unlimited Text (entire world) and Calls (US only?). There might be cheaper payg SIM cards but since I'm staying for a few months I needed this one. Hope it helps
