Guest goldndelicious Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 hi all, I'm from the uk, but going to florida for 2 weeks so want to take my blade. Is it triband, will it work in the states? Do phone operators in the states do nice cheap payg sim cards that i could buy from the local walmart or wherever? Will an american SIM work in a UK phone? If anyone knows, that would be a great help, especially the best place to pick up a cheap SIM card!
Guest ThrashMan Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 1. What do the phone specs say? 2. Go look at the Walmart web site. 3. You'll find out when you try p.s. I have no idea :o
Guest shadowninty Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 It will work on T-Mobile where they have coverage
Guest ms20 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Afaik at&t and tmobile are the only major networks which use sim cards (sprint and verizon use a different system) Also I remember seeing a thread here a while back which said that only 2g worked in the US

Guest and84 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) I'm in the US right now and I can tell that it only works on 2G mode... I'm using a SIM card from T-Mobile - it's a Simple Mobile $40 Unlimited Text (entire world) and Calls (US only?). There might be cheaper payg SIM cards but since I'm staying for a few months I needed this one. Hope it helps Edited May 7, 2011 by and84
