Guest RockVacirca Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 (edited) Hi guys, Got my docking station today, and generally I am very pleased with it. There is no documentation with the unit, but by and large it is unnecessary, except on one point, just how do you eject a usb device connected to one of its ports? When the Vega is in the dock you can plug in a usb stick, you get first a message saying it is safe to remove the usb device!? then a message saying Preparing USB device (more like it) then in the file manager you can see all the files on the stick no problem. However, I could not find any way to eject or dismount the stick. So i tried just removing it, and then I first got a message saying it was now safe to remove the usb device!!! then that is followed by another message telling me to install another device. There is a usb icon in the notification bar with an exclamation mark by it, and the only way I found to get rid of that icon was to do a complete power off/on. Anyone got any further info/tips on this? Rock Edited May 7, 2011 by RockVacirca
Guest trevor432990 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Was discussed a couple of months ago here but I'm not sure if there have been any further developments in getting an 'EJECT' function written for Vega. It may be a pain but I think the only safe way to remove a USB memory device is to shut down Vega completely first.
