Guest manpreetsingh46 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Hi, This is my first post in this forum i am really happy to see the amount of activity in this forum. As you can see i have learned some about the Android phone and i have got Zte blade but i am not able to enjoy my phone as it keeps loosing battery i was using Cy7 before tried battery calibration worked for me but then i had to try my hands on SS roam and the issue came back ,tried the the same recalibration thing but that didn't work for me . Some say you need to give time to new OS but it has been 4-5 recharges still issue remains the same . Is there a fix for this ? if not how to go back to CY7 stable again. I tried going back to CY7 ( restore backup) and did the recalibration but it is not working on that as well not. Please help
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 How long does the battery last? Do you mean CM7? Have you tried wiping data?
Guest Len Ash Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) Think I need to write a brief piece on battery life/power consumption - too many myths kicking around. Edited May 8, 2011 by Len Ash

Looking forward to that, LanceH. A bit more information about the "battery stats" which we have to wipe after recalibration would really help. I still can't figure out if we need to recalibrate after flashing the same ROM as before. For ex, I had the SS RLS 5 on the phone and was getting good mileage out of it (50-55 hours) after recalibration. Now I had to reflash the ROM because I was experiencing 3G problems (which is solved now) and now am in a fix whether to recalibrate it again or not. It's technically the "same" ROM, so will the battery stats that were logged before still apply? Edited May 8, 2011 by JT_daniel

Guest JT_daniel Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I would guess yes - the data cant be part of the ROM, so as long as you dont wipe it should still be there Thanks oldfella. I'll report back whether the battery levels were the same or not after a few recharging cycles.
Guest manpreetsingh46 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 battery still lasting 16-17 hours barely
Guest Kthulhu Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 battery still lasting 16-17 hours barely You need to be more specific - charge it fully and leave it over night idlle in airplane mode. Report ho wmuch it drops and maybe we coudl have a beter idea. Any case, it may sound stupid to someone, ZTE blade battery life sucks a little bit - but any SMARTphone using wifi, browsing, playing, video, gps, etc...last a few hours of battery.
Guest manpreetsingh46 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 ^ well ill try that and get back to you
