Sound problem

Hi,

Could some one help me with an issue iam facing. Had installed JJ9 on my blade and everything was working fine until some days back my blade decided to switch off its sound!! There is no sound output through speakers, earphone...nothing can be heard nor can the opposite party hear anything when i make a call. Even if i try playing mp3 it there is no sound output. The mp3 file does play without sound for a few seconds and it then tends to get stuck. Also the camera too is not working as this too gets stuck on a black screen! I tried installing swedish spring too..but still no sound nor camera...the phone dialler is also slow in responding...other applications seem to be working fine..not sure what the issue is..would be grateful if someone could help.

Did you "Wipe" data and cache before applying the new roms?

Do you have a different Blade model? SF, Generic Blade, 5mp camera model etc?

I can remember some people having issues when the roms were being created but I thought these had all been solved

Sounds like the hardware has failed. If it’s software try a restore if you have made one or re-flash JJ.

yep did wipe data and cache before applying the new rom and its the usual UK blade...it was working fine with JJ9 and suddenly went silent!!

not sure if it is a hardware failure...the sound did come back once the battery had drained off and i did a full recharge...but stopped again.. the camera too was working but later on went off...

Had this issue once or twice on mine - think the contact to the speaker (for music etc, not for calls) is slightly loose. I found that if you played an MP3 whilst pressing on the bottom of the phone (under the menu button) and softly flexing it the sound magically came back!

Thanks for your response..tried that but no luck...think iam stuck with it!!!
