Guest Chris Banks Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Im Planning on partitioning a new card and using A2SD, but was wondering do you actually notice the difference when using an SD card of a higher speed class on everyday use. Do apps load/run any faster or video play any smoother, or are the only real benefits copying speeds. Thanks

Guest targetbsp Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) It's the speed in mb/sec of the slowest speed - which is always the write speed. So it's absolutely no indication of how fast your phone will be able to load apps or videos. My class 2 reads faster than my class 6 for instance. And my class 4 reads and writes faster than my class 6 so they don't even bother with accurate classes anyway it seems!! Edited May 9, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest Chris Banks Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Thank you for clearing that up! I was thinking that it referred to both speeds. Think i will just go with a trusted named brand now.
