Guest rickychopper Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Hello everyone Just a quick problem, having flashed my blade to jellyfish 2.2 I can no longer reboot into recovery. Having tried the early versions of 2.3 I wanted to now try the stable version. I can't really complain as jellyfish is running well and I've got the phone setup as I want, I just wanted the option again. I've done some research already and the problem maybe a updated version of rom manager, however having installed a older version it makes no difference. I've also tried re-booting in manual version but still no joy, the phone simply won't reboot into recovery, even using different apps. I've also taken the battery out. It's not the end of the world if I can't get recovery back but any help would be great thanks. My phone is a Gen1 device as well.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Try flashing it with fastboot and rebooting into recovery with adb

I wonder if you went far enough back with the "earlier versions". Post below from Irishpancake explains "Go into RM app on apps list in settings, and clear cache..... then launch ROM Manager....... Go to All Clockwork Recoveries at bottom......and tap You should get a list, including 3.0.1.4...... Install that recovery, it is GEN1 for sure...... You may be prompted again by RM re update, ignore if on GEN1. Hope this helps."
Guest rickychopper Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Hello again Thanks for all the advice, not sure what I'm doing with fastboot so I'm going to leave. Tried your advice with rom manager but still no joy, just gets stuck on the andriod logo and I have to take the battery out. Think I'm going to leave it on jellyfish, before I end up bricking it! Once again thnks for your advice.
Guest rickychopper Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Update! Cracked it, found a thread for a easy tpt install. Now running cm7 nightly build, going to give this a go for a bit or does anyone know of some good 2.3 custom roms? Cheers
