Guest jimmy191 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 From what I gather the Vega I recently bought has a dual core processor but andoird 2.2 doesn't support dual core? honeycomb is more optimized for dual core processor so does that mean it'll, in theory, make the Vega run faster? New to all this so sorry if any dumb questions, thanks.
Guest mclanecxantia Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 depends on the software you use. my chess programs are running on both cores on the vega.
Guest mintvilla Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 depends on the software you use. my chess programs are running on both cores on the vega. froyo is not "fully" optimised for dual cores, apps are individual so it just depends on the apps. while technically Honeycomb might run faster, its also a big and heavier operating system which will probally negate any extra power you get from the extra core being more utilised. To be honest, if you have corvus5 rom installed with it overclocked to 1.5ghz, you aint gunner get much faster than that
