Guest chugglet Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Is there an easy way using either a dedicated app or settings that I can use to control which apps and processes start when I turn on my Vega with Corvus5. I am looking for an MSCONFIG style controller if that is possible. Thanks in advance.
Guest simonta Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 There are now 220,000 apps on the market. I wonder what searching for "startup" reveals?
Guest chugglet Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 There are now 220,000 apps on the market. I wonder what searching for "startup" reveals? Haha, that's really funny, no really it is, honestly hilarious, oh no my sides have split. Its amazing how sarcastic somebody can be just because they are not standing in front of you but miles away on the end of a cable. I asked a simple question as a newbie to both this forum and Android OS and would have liked a simple, sensible answer rather than the sarcastic response I got. I help people working with Windows every day and use what is included within the OS to control what processes run on start-up. I was simply asking if there is a similar style feature within Android/Corvus5 or whether I need to download an App to do it. If you had replied "have a look in the Market for startup, there are some apps there that will help you" then I would have been happy with that however you chose this as an opportunity to try to belittle a new member of the forum with a sarcastic response. Forums like this survive on new members joining and contributing but if a simple question myself or any other new member posts receives a response like that, chances are they will leave and look somewhere else. That's another member lost and another member that is now making valid contributions somewhere else. Even as a new member, I would try to help where I could and not just assume somebody knows how everything works. With over 700 posts I guess you are fairly respected within the forum. Why not try to build on that respect with genuine help and advice to new members rather than trying to make them look stupid.
Guest NeilLewis22 Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Dont think he ment to piss you off was just a joke. Welcome to the forum. I use android assistant from market place. I dont think this will control your startup items but it will kill anything you dont want when the system has loaded so you get the same outcome just things are loaded into mem then removed. hope it helps
