htc desire root

hiya, can anyone help me please i have a htc desire that i wish to root asap,it has hboot 0.93 and 2.2 firmware,i have followed the unrevoked method but when it comes down to rooting unrevoked just gets stuck on waiting for device.

i would be greatfull for any advice on what to do to get it to work as im desperate to root my phone,thanks
