Guest mankian Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I asked this in the main FR15 thread which to be fair was the wrong place so didn't really get an answer. I got an o2x running completely stock, updated to latest version using LG's updater tool. What happens is, if the phone has been on for a few hours, if I try to turn on the wifi it just freezes (the whole phone becomes stuck) for about 5 - 10 seconds then underneath wifi it just says "Error". If I reboot the phone, it works fine again - for a few hours. Just wondering who else has this problem? I am trying to figure out if its software or hardware related as if I am the only one experiencing this I need to get my phone sent back to the shop! Thanks all
Guest mankian Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Just called LG and they seem to know nothing about it too. Anyone?
Guest ben1th Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) i got this wifi error too. and i also have lots of problems with that device. - pretty often wifi wont reconnnect after standby - device will stay in standby whatever i do. i have to remove the battery to use the phone again. - gps fix takes a long time and when fixed its to bad for navigation (sun is shining, no clouds and i was on my bike with the phone in a pocket on my leg) - phone hangs up on its own while having a call - after reboot sometimes there is no way to enter the pin - after install some app the phone is to laggy to use - just for fun the phone lags like hell sometimes im sure i could write on for a while. i really think about the sgs2 but it has no tegra  Edited May 11, 2011 by ben1th
Guest mankian Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 thats bad... if im honest i never had any of those other problems. in call is fine (quality not amazing though) and never had to take the battery out yet (*touches wood*). the phone is laggy on the homescreen but im sure another rom would sort that out. only tried the GPS once. I had to walk around outside with the phone in my hand for about 3 minutes to get a fix, dont know how accurate it was though because i was testing copilot (which is crap, by the way). What rom you using? I'm on stock V10D which seems about the most reliable from what ive read...

Is your WiFi phone-config (at menu) a "Never" disable? I have problem with ASUS RT-N56U but no with Zyxel P-330W EE. If I config static IP in O2X, then connection is stable  But pings with screen-off is very big (120..1500ms) Edited May 13, 2011 by Altemir
