Wallstreak or Multipicture Live Wallpaper Help

I call upon the Modaco users for help once again....

I am running DJ_Steve's 1.9 which as you guys know, 2.2 wallpaper is set to 960 x 800 so it can be viewed in both landscape and portrait mode. problem is that in landscape mode it zooms in to account for the portrait mode. so far i havent been able to find a wallpaper i like as i prefer the streak in landscape and the zoomed wallpaper looked awful.

So, i looked at alternative options. i found a couple of .apks that allow me to go back to the 1.6 set up. so have multiple wallpapers on my homescreens. this is fine as i have wallpapers that are 800 x 480. i found a cool optimus prime wallpaper, so jumped at the chance to display the great prime on my streak.

First, i used wallstreak. this fooled my streak into thinking i was using a live wallpaper so i could set an image to use as a wallpaper for screen 1, screen 2 etc. however when i locked the screen, put the streak down for half hour or so, when i went back to it then wallpaper went squew whiff and changed the picture size and qualty.

I then used Multipicture live wallpaper which did the same, fooled my streak into thinking i was using a live wallpaper. I had to use PicSayPRO to slightly tweek the wallpaper but this was fine. Unlike Wallstreak, this doesnt allow me to set up multiple wallpapers for my screens, this just allows the 1 picture to be displayed on all the screens. I decided to continue. I set it up, locked the screen, put the streak down for half hour or so but this time, when i went back to it the wallpaper had changed to a previous live wallpaper that i was using....?

At first i though it could be the Autokiller i had, so added both Wallstreak and Multipicture Live Wallpaper to the exclude list but still no luck.

Does anyone else get this problem or has anyone managed to figure out this problem or even a work around? the only thing that works is live wallpaper and wallpapers that are more of a patturn. I only want a wallpaper so it fits in landscape mode and i dont need to crop any part of it.

You can use multiple pictures per screen on multiple picture livewallpaper , hence the name. :-)

I've been using this live wallpaper for quite sometime now and never have a problem,Im running 315 on 1.9.0 from DJ Steves.

It does sometimes screwup when you use the transistion effect, like leaving behind part of the picture when you scroll. So I just use no transistion effect on the option. For me its the best wallpaper app, because you dont have to crop the pictures.

I use wallstreak on 1.9.0 and have no problems with it. The picture doesnt go skew whiff and doesnt resize. What Launcher are you using? Works fine on adw ex...

Ill have to have a play and see if i can get Multipicture live wallpaper to display more then 1 pic. as i said, im not to fussed if it only displays the one pic, as long as its 800 x 480......just found the setting. It was called "Add Individuall Settings", this allowed me to select a pic for each screen - thanks for the help ramtix :unsure:

Im using LauncherPro Plus v 0.8.1.1 on a 318 baseband. Could this be a problem? I used ADW when i first got my streak last year but it didnt have the facebook/twitter widgets that LauncherPro has so i switched over. I dont know if that has changed recently. but it could be worth having a quick go on ADW to see if i get the same problem.

dude, if your keen on using your streak on landscape mode, try VTL Launcher, its almost the same as ADW launcher as it was based from it.I dont think you'll have a problem using Mutipicture LW on LauncherPro..as its just a Live Wallpaper. and for facebook and twitter widget for ADW, you can use Colorize Widget for that.

Thanks ramtix, ill try that launcher when i get home. Colorize Widget you say for FB & Twitter, ill give it a whirl.

I have changed the launcher to ADW ex but im still getting the same problem. after about 10 mins of the streak sitting locked, idil. i go to unlock it and it changes back to the orginal live wallpaper.....maybe i need to uninstall the orginal live wallpaper, i was only using the 'TerraTime' live wallpaper anyway.

I hope i dont have to do a factory reset!
