Guest smf Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I read that to avoid bricking my phone I need to be sure of whether to follow the GEN1 or GEN2 procedure to install a custom version of the OS It seems that there is the original GEN1 with build OUK_P729BV1.0.0B05 and OLED screen then came GEN2 with build OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 and TFT screen so as I have a San Francisco with a OUK_P729BV1.0.0B10 and unknown screen I expected to see that it was GEN2 (or greater). Mr Pigfish however tells me that I have a GEN1 model - can I trust him??

I'm using OUK_P729BV1.0.0B20 and it's GEN1 too, Mr Pigfish confirms and I can tell from the kernel
