Guest i am not a hacker Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 I was listening to music, then I changed my wallpaper. everything force closed, then there was a reboot. when the boot animation finished, the lockscreen was there, but the toichscreen didn't work. I couldn't turn the screen off. the screen turned off itself. I could only get the screen back on by plugging the charger in. I had to do a factory reset and reflash the rom for it to work.I've lost all my data, apps, everything apart. from my SD content. all of my SD ext. has been removed. the backup resulted in the same problem. so what happened and how do I get my apps back? can I use recovery manager to install the image of the SD ext part of the backup? I was using cm7 n63 Gen 1 with a converter of to 691. help please.

Guest AdwiL Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 In ClockworkMod Recovery after choosing 'Restore Backup' choose 'Advanced Restore' and choose backup from which you want to restore. Then restore just sd-ext and and it should work.

I will the advanced restore but shadowboss, i couldn't turn the screen on and off. It only happened by timing out (turning off) and turning on was by plugging the charger in. It made no effect. But i will try clearing the cache. Thanks for the replies
Guest i am not a hacker Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 The advanced restore doesn't work properly with the sd ext.on link 2 sd none of the apps show up but when you press clean up second partition, it comes up with a list of all off the apks and dex and files for the apps that I had. How can of hey them to work again?
