Guest dabravokid Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Hi guys and girls, new to the forum but had a good look around searching for people with similar issues that I'm having. I got a new Orange San Francisco on contract yesterday and immediately went down the route of a custom ROM. Followed the guides of rooting, unlocking, installing recovery apps and all went ok. I get to the point of backing up the current ROM, phone reboots and then boots right back into normal use again. I have tried every possible combination, even tried holding the vol down button (this just sends phone into reboot cycle until I release button). I'm getting the feeling that Orange in the ultimate wisdom has figured out a block to stop me in my efforts to remove bloat from a nice device. If there is anybody who has got past this any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try redownloading and reapplying the recovery image, first checking the md5 to make sure that its not corrupt. The link provided by azeemfazal has info on these. Alternatively This guide has links and has newer versions edit: ah you've got it sorted, nice work Edited May 13, 2011 by flshg
