Guest richardop Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) I've just released an update for this app which overlays hardware buttons on the screen and injects hardware key events. It's fully customisable in appearance and function, you can easily rearrange button order, change size & transparency. It also provides screen-off animations, alt-tab functionality and I've just added a feature to change the button colours It's £1.00 but there is a 36-hour fully featured trial available to test it out. See the http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nXQ2znxZOTs. Thanks. Virtual Button Bar Virtual Button Bar (Trial) Edited November 24, 2011 by richardop
Guest Elvis Sawdust Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 I was going to give it a go but 36 hours isn't very long to give it try it really, probs tend to show up a few days/week after you start using it. I'll wait till there's some feedback on the app. Good luck with it any way.

I've just submitted v1.1 with a new swipe feature which halves the clicks needed to use it! ( ). I've reset the trial system for all users so even if you completed the trial, you get another to try out the new feature (just uninstall and reinstall). Cheers.

Also it could do with a trial per version as i tryed the v1.1 and there was no power button so i stopped using it now i see its added but i cant try the trial as its expired. Would love to try it out now im using button savior but it does not cut it for me.

You go to (for 2.2) Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Virtual Button Bar Trial ->force stop, wipe data, then turn off all internet access and start it again (service enabled). You'll get a popup window with your UUID in it. If you are on 2.1 you need to uninstall, reinstall and have internet connections turned off before you start it. Cheers

Cheers Ok i have just bought this app and i love it infact its the first and only app i have payed for but im a bit disappointed to see the trigger does not auto align to the edge of the sceen when switching to landscape. Example when i press trigger button in portrait and then click camera so the screen changes to landscape the trigger is in the middle of the screen instead of the side. Hope you will fix this problem and if i was you i would advertise on xda as this app is way better then button savior and most people use that.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate the support! I have that bug on my hitlist. It happens the first time you rotate when you've launched a new app and are yet to extend->retract the menu when in that new app. Weird bug but I will find it.

Yes thats the problem glad to see your working on it. Is there any chance you can add a option to lock the trigger as i set it to the correct position and then move it accidently sometimes or at least make a 1 second delay before the drag n drop starts thanks. The delay for dragging and dropping activation on the button menu is a standard long click which I think is either 500ms or 1s. I think I made the pullout button specifically 1 second to activate longclick. I can probably add this but there's getting to be a lot more options now it will get cluttered soon. I'll update tonight with the screen rotation bug fixes, including the one you reported. ;) Edited June 10, 2011 by richardop
