Guest jmhalder Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) Now, this thread seems stupid, since I don't have any REAL coding experience, but compiling a kernel should be something that's reasonably easy. I compiled a working x86 kernel about 10 years ago when I was 15. I know the kernel needs some tweaking done to be thrown together as a working boot.img. And I have nothing but respect for DJ_Steve, but he's only one man, and like many of us, he owns multiple devices, and compiles dozens of android variants for all of em... I think it would help all of us track down bugs if there was a easy tutorial on how to do this. I have to work in an hour, so I probably won't get farther than doing a Wubi install of Ubuntu on my machine today :) *update, screw wubi, resized my Win7 partition, installed ubuntu 64bit, install git, got the repo script installed... lol, this is hard for a script kiddie like me  Edited May 14, 2011 by jmhalder
