Hi guys,I have not used my vega much for a while, but when I saw all the new roms I have started to get back into using the vega again.

I have done a backup using oneclickrestorer and then I started to do a reflash to stock 1.09 and my laptop crashed. Now every time I try and reflash the vega I get a windows error saying " One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and widows does not recognize it. ",and now I cannot do anything with the vega.Any ideas please.

Haven't heard of that particular Windows error message before. What version of Windows are you running? If it is not connecting make sure you have the power lead and USB lead connected to the Vega then follow the button press sequence to go into recovery. If the PC does not make the familiar ding/dong sound of it finding a newly connected device then you will probably have to refresh the USB Drivers which is described in several guides but as I don't know what Windows you are running I cannot send you the appropriate link.

Hi mate I am running windows vista 32bit,when I plug the vega in and go into recovery I get the ping sound but then that error message comes up and I cannot do anything with it.

Well after trying to restart the vega up countless times I just left it for a while, and now it has rebooted up and is working again.

It all appears in device manager so I really do not know what happened

The morale of this story is to never give up with our little vega :)

Thanks guys

Martin

Did a Google of the error message and it seems quite a few Windows users have experienced it and this solution seems to be the most likely cure. You need to shutdown your PC and power it down completely (i.e. remove PC power lead) leave for 5 minutes then restart PC then try reconnecting the Vega. If that does not work then uninstall all the Vega related USB drivers and repeat the power down procedure. Let us know if that works

Edit :- Ooops our messages crossed. Well done anyway
