Guest Dezire Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 i will give that a shot and report back... Right. Just installed it and nothing...where is it? I've looked in the app drawer and it's not there. Does it run silently or something? Do I not configure it?

Guest Konstipated Kiwi Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) What are the best apps to control wifi...i just want a button to turn it on. Simple. Ps. I've got Lookout installed...does this use a lot of resources? If you literally just want a button to switch wi-fi on/off then you can do that using the power control widget (long press some space on the screen, select 'widgets' then 'power control'). That should provide toggles for wi-fi, bluetooth, data, GPS, and possibly data sync. I don't know whether this is customisable or not. A more flexible alternative is Widgetsoids from the Market. You can add as many toggles as you want for a number of useful things. The Blade wi-fi fix app will perform the 'on' part of the toggle automatically if wi-fi switches off on your phone during sleep to save you having to press the toggle switch yourself. However, it sounds to me more like your issue is that wi-fi is enabled on your phone but not automatically connecting to your home network. I'm afraid I don't know what the fix is for this. The same issue has blighted me since I switched from Sebastian's de-softened 2.2 ROM to FLB 11b. The phone knows my home wi-fi is there, but does not always automatically connect to it.
