Guest macleod.mac Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Hey, I've had a TFT blade for just over two months now, has been running JJ and has been very stable for about a month, but today it started constantly vibrating. I can't get it to stop, it even vibrates when the phone is switched off - it seems to be a lower frequency vibration than that of notification alert, and I have no idea what's wrong with it! Does anyone have any ideas, or should I return it to Orange? Thanks.

Take the battery out leave it for 10-20 seconds stick the battery back in and boot, try and see what triggers the vibrations, if it just starts when turned on it probably needs replacing.

Starts whenever the battery is put in, regardless. On boot, stops for a couple of seconds, then starts again. Thinking back on it now, there's a possibility of water damage. I dropped my phone in a very small amount of water in a sink yesterday, however phone worked fine 'til now. Having said that, the phone is fully functional, but just vibrates constantly. The battery doesn't seem to be the issue as the same thing happens when plugged in w/o battery. Have put the phone in the airing cupboard, looks like I'm screwed if that doesn't work.
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Hmm that could be awkward, companies don't like replacing water damaged phones. Hope the airing cupboard works.

Hope the airing cupboard works. Thanks, it actually did! Fortunately, it appears the amount of water that got in was very minimal. Problem solved.
