Guest daveleebond Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Right, brand new Vega. Can install R8 no problem, but it comes to trying another ROM they fail, have tried fuji and corvus5. fuji ---- when installing via CWM just hangs after setting permissions, tries twice. corvus ------- just get 2 penguins straight after boot and thats it. Have tried install from 2 different sd cards  Each time I have to reflash 1.09 via recovery and start all over again. any tips/ideas as I would like to overclock which I cannot, I don't hink, in r8, or can I flash another kernel. It's not like my hero where you have to partition the sd is it???
Guest trevor432990 Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) I'd suggest sticking with v1.09 R8 for time being and use the time to get used to your new Vega and do some reading as there are many posts here already which detail how to install each ROM together with the problems people have encountered with each and solutions to them. I would imagine that like the rest of us you'd like to load the new Honeycomb system which is now in Beta or like me wait till the official release version. As for overclocking I believe that is only available on the Corvus5 ROM right now but new opportunities will I'm sure be along in the near future. Edited May 16, 2011 by trevor432990
Guest daveleebond Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 managed to get corvus5 on via .bat file, working fine now

But the rest of his post is spot on , search is your friend..............I just love that phrase :P
