Guest daizoe Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) Yo! I bought my ZTE Blade four days ago. Installed CyanogenMod 7.0.3 nightly I think. Recharged battery full yesterday and now 15 hours later its empy and I have barely even used the phone. Maybe played 5 min angry birds and max 10min in market downloading stuffs.. Is the battery supposed to be this bad? I've got no idea if it's because of the CM7.0.3 or if its the battery itself being broken? 31% android system 27% screen 23% dialing - even though I havent talked once in the phone since I charged phone full? I believe you have the Dialer battery drain bug. No Fix yet unfortunately.
Guest daizoe Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) Well, lets assume I have the drainbug. That's still only 21% = 3 hours of battery time. Which means I totally got 18 hours batterytime, aint that kinda horrible? Think I read about people having around 48 hours. Edited May 16, 2011 by daizoe
Guest sambartle Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 I'd love 18hours! I get 10-12 maximum and always have!!
Guest Steep Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) Things you can do, turn off BT, wifi and data until you need them. Darken the screen and switch it off when not in use. I'm on CM7.0.0 rc4 and the only thing that kills my phone is making calls but I do still need to charge overnight every night. Edited May 16, 2011 by Steep

Though I like everything else about it. But if the phone cant even last 20hours+ without dialling/playing/watching movies then its kinda useless. Guess it wont last longer than 2 hours if I would watch a movie... Edited May 16, 2011 by daizoe

The battery life is the only thing that keeps me away from a CyanogenMod, as I love being able to leave the house in the morning and come back in the middle of the night with enough battery left to drunkenly call my friends or random girls I used to know...I should rethink my life style...
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 If I leave my phone sleeping when not in use, that inclused wifi and 3g on and send about 50 texts i get about 2.5 days (no phone calls maybe light downloading)

What's FLB?
Guest Pondlife Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 flb -> http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-oled-tft-gen1/ You'd need to be gen1 for that though. I'd say try Swedish Spring you can stay on gen2 for that.
Guest magicpork Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 not really SF's fault..cm7 is not the best when comes to battery life....mine can probably last 2 days under light use....i.e. a couple of messages and occasionally check twitters..
Guest daizoe Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 that went not so well.. Installing got hung up when I tried installing SS.. And now I only see green guy on screen and cant reboot/shutdown
Guest shmizan Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 reboot to recovery and try again. that did for me.
Guest Kerberos84 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 With SS RLS5 I can use my SF for about 3 days with light use...
