Guest eebobobo Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Hello all. I am new to this so please be patient =) My brother bought a SF last week and I am looking into unlocking it for him. After looking at a few websites I came across one that gave instructions and a link to a site where you entered your IMEI number in return for a code. I did this, but before using the code I did a little more reading first. I then noticed one or two comments about safety, and I am worried now that I may have entered the IMEI number into this page when I should not have. As I said, I have not tried the code it gave me yet. Have I done something I should not have or should it be no problem? If so, is there any harm in trying the code I got to unlock the phone? Thanks in advance.

Guest shmizan Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 you did alright. giving away your IMEI can be dangerous but most of the times it's just fine. why won't you use the app one of our own made: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...code-generator/ or use the Blade Buddy: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...blade-for-free/ no need to put your IMEI in the web. there's no harm in trying the code. but don't try it more than once and make sure your type it just as it appears. if it doesn't work, nothing bad will happen, but you lose a try (out of 3)
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 @shmizan it was out of 5 for me and the app created on here allows us too reset so technically as many times as we like

I used the second link that was recommended and it gave exactly the same unlock pin that I already have. I used it and it worked fine. However I have a small (hopefully!) problem now. But I think I will make a new post for this. Feel free to look for it and help me out if you can. Thanks.
