Guest Maxsas360 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I will buy my OLED Blade very soon. It is used a little bit but what should I check when buying to be sure to not get a faulty one?

Buying from eBay or face to face? Just check the battery area inside, see if it boots, check the screen for scratches, check the exterior for damage and check the sound if you can.
Guest Azurren Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Check the camera, around the edges of the screen for sensitivity, multitouch. Make a call, receive a call and connect to Wifi (This and the above and that pretty much rules out most of the SFs manufacturing flaws) Needless to say, check that all the buttons work
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Dead pixels is also quite common-and avoid dust under the screen (a white image is good for this-when on full brightness)
Guest Ralph Martin Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Especially check that the touch screen works reliably. Quite a few people have reported problems with the touchscreen. Try twisting the phone a bit and see if it still works. Tack the back off and put it back on and check again. Tap it gently on the table and try again. None of that will give you a rock solid test, but if its borderline, it may show the fault up.

Mate, you've posted this topic twice: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...g-a-used-blade/ Back on topic, yeah check the screen and the buttons! Make sure that all the everyday functions are working correctly Edited May 17, 2011 by HMZX
Guest Denzo Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 When you check it out make sure the phone is cold, some OLEDs like mine have a blue flicker on the upper third of the screen when the phone is cold. This can occur later on as well, so maybe buying an OLED might not be the best idea, I certainly regret it. Besides if its only little used it problably still has a valid warranty, so you have less to worry about, unless its imported.
