Use Pulse mini as modem

Hi right ive heard that i can tether my pulse mini [barnicle etc] but if i connect it to my laptop and use it as a modem so i can go on the internet on my laptop can i then create a wifi network? so my fiancees ds can connect or my psp can connect? cheers
