Thank you for all the hard work everyone here freely gives.

It means I now have bought 3 San Franciscos and installed Swedish Spring. The last one was for my elderly father who is having problems getting to grips with using a touchscreen. Apart from being elderly he has Parkinson's disease and is not so fast with his hands.

One of his main issues is when he comes to unlock the phone. He presses the button and then attempts to put in his password. But the phone keeps timing out after 5 seconds. It is far too fast for him.

Is there any setting allowing me to change this time?

Maybe it's a Swedish Spring thing or do all the ROMs behave like this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi go to settings, screen, screen timeout and set how long you want it to take to time out :P

That doesn't affect lockscreen. I have set it to 1min but on lockscreen it turns off screen in less than 5 seconds.

edit: In CM7 you can change it in settings->cyanogenmod settings->lockscreen->delay and timeout

Thank you for that.

OK, looks like its time I made the move to CM7. (Or at least for my father's blade)

Pity I like Swedish Spring a lot.

Same for me in 7.2, I try to change the delay, but it's always the same, first the contrast changes and after the sceen closes (in 30 sec)

Done : In settings - display !! OK (in french : paramètres - Affichage - Mise en veille de l'écran)
