Guest cutandaweb Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 ZTE Blade with CM7. I was on the subway listening to music when I received a call. I thought I was the first time he could talk using the headset. Unfortunately, although I hear perfectly the other person hear me. When you unplug the headphones could be heard and end the conversation. A test mode inserted helmets and micro lose again (heard but was not heard). Does anyone suspect that you may be? :P

Guest slashdotted Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Sorry to bring this issue back up... I have noticed this problem too (I'm using GSF b17) and want to know if going to another rom might solve it To problem: when headphones (standard headphones, 3.5", 3pin, without microphone) are plugged in the phone thinks they have a mic and the built-in microphone is disabled and the listener cannot hear my voice. My questions: 1) is it a "known issue" with the Blade? 2) is it a hardware or a software issue? Note: when I plug my headphones I get the following log message (through ddms), which shows that a non-existing mic was detected: 08-12 17:58:59.340: VERBOSE/HeadsetObserver(531): Intent.ACTION_HEADSET_PLUG: state: 1 name: Headset mic: 1 With a headset (i.e. 4-pin with microphone) I get the same 3) does it appear with every rom or just some? (I don't remember if I had this problem with a stock orange 2.1 rom) Thank you very much for your replies !
Guest slashdotted Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Sorry to reply to myself... but Can anyone tell me if it's a known behavior of the blade? Does the built-in mic get muted (also in the sound recording app) when a 3-pin headphone (w/o mic) is plugged in? thanks
Guest poppmensa Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 As a workaround, I would suggest an option to override the detection of a mic in the headphone, like "Always use internal mic, even if a headphone is connected". Where to put this suggestion?
