Up until then the phone had been performing brilliantly, actually better than a Samsung Galaxy running a stock 2.2 ROM. - none of the music apps are responding (music player / jukefox). An error message appears saying that it's not responding and it provides an option to force close (back button does not work; whole screen is frozen) - Twitter keeps freezing and when I click the back button it just goes to a blank home screen; i.e. no icons, no dock. Can't move off this unless I lock and unlock the phone but sometimes even not after that - sometimes the screen fades to a very, very faint level, goes a bit blurry and dark, followed by the phone becoming completely unresponsive. The only way around it is to remove and replace the battery and restart the phone. - Youtube has errors every time I try to look at something It's new, having been bought at Easter and with all instructions (unlock & new rom) followed as per orangesanfrancisco.co.uk. Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. That all sounds very frustrating. I think you should try and backup anything important (sms, mms, sync your contacts), then try a full data wipe/factory reset and wipe cache from recovery mode (clockwork mod recovery). Also wipe battery stats, also from clockwork, just to be thorough.

I installed whatever the latest most stable ROM was recommended by the orangesanfrancisco site (Swedish Spring). Will perform a wipe and reinstall later tonight. Are there instructions for this sort of thing?

Are there instructions for this sort of thing? If you full wipe and reflash and the problems still persist then full wipe and try CM7 and see if it still has problems. Guest hugobosslives Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) instructions fior what? wiping? its pretty simple: backup what you want to keep (messages, contacts etc) and make sure you have the rom on your sdcard. turn off, boot into clockwork (vol- and power) then move around with vol buttons, home to select, and back (well this one is obvious) wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, including the davlik cache (under advanced tab) then "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard" EDIT: btw you have rebooted since this started right???
