Bricked Vega HELP

I dont know if its bricked, but its certainly pretty screwed atm...

All started by being stuck on VegaComb 1a (by newb5 etc)

Then i plugged into pc and ran the install thing from pauls r8 rom, to get that back, but when i booted vega it just kept refreshing on a dimmed version of the booting screen where it says Advent.

Retryed the windows install again and its now doing the same, boots normally (says booting then shows ADVENT logo) then just keeps refreshing on the Advent logo screen dimmed out...

Any help pleassee?? Desperately need it for my college work :/

Houdini2005 is right, flash the stock rom from www.myadventvega.co.uk.

What it sounds like has happened is you installed one of the previous alpha versions of the Vegacomb ROM, they did 'stuff' to the storage space inside the Vega to allow the developers to squeeze everything in. It's ok, don't worry. The stock ROM changes all this back to normal so you need to do that first before you put any other ROMs on the device.

Let us know how you get on, good luck! :-)

Sweeeet got it all sorted now, searched the forums and found posts from last year with people who had the same issue... managed to get it in recovery long enough to flash back to stock, then tried to get onto Pauls r8 but did the same boot screen thing, went back to stock AGAIN then completely wiped the mem stick (reformatted) and tried all again, worked so far :P

BTW tempted to try out the 1.3 beta, do you know if flash works on it yet or not? coz that for me is a big yes/no thing... alsoo where does the corvus team release their dates for newest editions?

Great news, not sure why you needed to format the SD card but as long as you are up and running again that's awesome :-)

Yeah, I'm on 1.3 Beta as well, no flash but I'm used to that with my iPad so this is no big deal for me. I'm sure it's high on the priority list. The one click backup thing is awesome, I'm so going to add details of that to my blog :-)
