Problems after changing screen on Orange San Francisco

Hi

I've changed the screen and it'll work at times but at other times I have to randomly tap the top right of the screen to get it to unfreeze itself. For example if I leave it long enough and go to unlock it, I get no response unless I tap somewhere random on the screen then maybe it'll start acting normally and let me put my pattern in.

Same for calls...if the phone has been sitting around and starts to ring I can't move the slider unless I tap all around the screen until it unfreezes.

Only the old fascia glass was damaged and this is the second new screen I have had. the first one displayed but didn't do anything and this one displays and only works when it wants to.

It's rooted, could this be an issue?

Any ideas? Worst case i'll take it back to orange and get a whole new phone but I like my OLED screen. :P

Thanks

That behaviour is not ROM related. The fact that you have to press on the top right ares of the screen suggest that the physical connection between the screen and the PCB is working erratically.

Check all the ribbons and connectors to ensure they are not damaged and conected properly.

My GF's white SF presented the same issue after 3 months. It was a LCD one, so as it was still under warranty I got it replaced by Orange.

Had it happened to my OLED one, I might have gone into replacing it myself to keep the OLED screen, but thinking about it OLED screens are quite overrated to be honest.

My advice would be, if it is under warranty, just get it replaced.
