Guest jamidodger1 Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 Hey, Has anyone had any problems with the paint chipping off their Blade(s)? I've got loads come off by the bottom where the "back door" is where the opening bit is and also on some corners. I'm not exactly heavy handed and haven't dropped it apart from in gravel once a while back. Any one else with this? Jamie.

Guest Fou-lu Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 maybe it was sold as a black one and then painted white? I got two tiny scratches on mine where you can chip away at the white, underneath is plastic, seems painted on but feels pure plastic, tiny as hell though.
Guest TCTUK Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 If you search for 'White ZTE Blade' on google images guess what the first few images are? ...Paint coming off of the white zte blade! It isn't a new problem or a rare one, that's why I bought the grey one.

Mines white, and I mean pure white - even put a nice big scratch on the inside of my batterey cover and its white all the way through.

It's certainly plausible, after all there are a few black blade's floating around.
Guest Nandroid Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Yeah there's a bit of hysteria about the white blades. The one the previous poster mentioned as coming up on a google search?... take a little time tofollow the links and you'll find it was a pre-production mock-up. The grey blade suffers from worse wear when it comes to corners and edges. The rubberised-type coating wears away if not protected in a cover of some sort. Check out some of the second hand ones on ebay. I've had my white blade for nearly 6 months and there isn't a single mark on it... nice glossy white. I do keep it in a gel case though. The main reason I got white was that the dark grey and black phones suffer from heatstroke in the hot sun here. Not a problem many have to worry about, I suppose. ;^)

Guest jamidodger1 Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I Think if it gets to bad i'll either ask orange for a new one but they prob. wouldn't give me another one
Guest Jekle Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I Think if it gets to bad i'll either ask orange for a new one but they prob. wouldn't give me another one I tried many times to get a new back cover from them as on my first replacement the cover wouldn't fit properly in opposite corners, twice they said they would send me a new back cover and never received one in the end the women said that it's your own fault as the cover must me bent in some place when it was not, but she did say to go your local Orange Shop and you can buy one but she never did specify what amount but then got my second replacement and it clip on correctly.
