Microphone bug

Hi,

I have upgraded the android on my acer liquid from 1.6 to 2.2, using a custom rom..

two weeks later, the microphone stopped working in phone calls, even though it still working on recorder !!!

I thought it is a bug, so I had installed another custom rom. 3 weeks later, I had the same problem..

Do you think it is hardware or software problem?
