Anyone purchased one of these?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ORANGE-SAN-FRANCIS.../dp/B004PZS3SW/

Looking at the picture it looks like a genuine ZTE Battery but unsure :P

I bought my screen protector from UK Goods, they were good to deal with when they left something out from my order.

It looks genuine and the comments seem okay. 80% chance of being Genuine I'd say.

Where are they getting these batteries from then? (another zte model?)

'Cause I don't see how they are official blade batteries if they last longer than the ones we get with the phones!

Unless for some reason they make better batteries and sell them separately to dig up more money :P)

Well, if this is genuine and the pic corresponds with battery stats, then my battery is only slightly less powerful.

I have a 1250mAh (4.7Wh), and the one for sale is apparently 1300mAh (4.9Wh).

How much this translates into extra battery-life is unclear.

On optimal ROM (I repeat, OPTIMAL Rom), the SF battery can last up to 4 days (with minimal use)... that's 312.5mAh per day (and 50mAh would equal just less than 4 hours)... that is IF we can do it like this.

So, barely 4 hours of extra battery on mostly standby doesn't seem like a deal breaker to me.

Had it been 16 extra hours, then possibly yes...

Unless these 'high quality materials' allow the battery to operate at a more efficient level and discharge at a lower rate.

That was my entire thought

Yes, also my thoughts. On paper its barely an improvement.

Yet someone says their battery lasted "30% longer" - was that the placebo effect, or pure coincidence? Oh, or a battery that is actually much better. :P

Could depend how worn out their battery was I suppose, or whether they'd not used the calibration.

But I'd say it would be tricky to use it exactly the same way over a few charges on each battery to get a decent comparison.

I bought one when they were about a quid cheaper & it's fine. Lasts about the same as the original.

I bought a couple of these and my phone just shows a question mark in the battery indicator when trying to charge them, and the phone just powers off when I unplug it. Is there something I'm suppose to do to initialise the battery or something?

Try wiping battery stats in CWM. It might help or those batteries are poop.

turns out the original battery's contacts are slightly recessed, so when the phones contacts get pushed in as the battery is inserted they sit snugly in the recesses, but the new batteries' contacts just slightly stick out, so the phone's contacts are getting pushed down and off the battery contacts. I've stuffed a small folded piece of paper in there now and the contacts are all fine and the batteries charge. Bit of a bodge, but it's working ;)
