Guest Puzzles Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) Hello, I used this TPT image to convert my Orange San Francisco (TFT display) to Gen2. I flashed a stock 2.2 ROM (Bulgarian for GLOBUL Z3 and later Japanese for ZTE V880). Everything seems to work fine, except the Wi-Fi. When I try to switch it on, the phone just displays "Error." and does not do anything. Is there a way to fix that? Forgot to add: Wi-Fi works with stock Orange ROM and Gen1 ROMs. Also works with CyanogenMod. Edited May 23, 2011 by Puzzles

I think /system/usr/wifi or /system/wifi are the last files that get copied. If there isn't any space left, it's obvious why wifi isn't working. Why do you want to use stock ROM? You'll also have cache issues. Just use custom ROM instead.

Are these cache issues serious?

Never heard of someone willing to flash low level firmware based on hacked and mixed versions of official firmware from different countries, who is not willing to root...
Guest Puzzles Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 Never heard of someone willing to flash low level firmware based on hacked and mixed versions of official firmware from different countries, who is not willing to root... Well, I don't. All I want is a stable Froyo firmware, not rooted if possible. I like Swedish Spring and FLB, but the games do not run as smoothly as on a stock ROM...

Guest wbaw Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 Why don't you want root? Also, you'll need a patch otherwise you can't download anything from the market. Just get CM7 & stop messing around.
Guest Puzzles Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 I did notice that I can't download anything from the market. And just reverted to stock Orange ROM.
