Nandroid restore to new phone - now all Gapps force close

My touchscreen stopped working, so I bought a new phone, put clockwork on it, and have restored my Nandroid backup. Now, the phone is basically running, but all the Gapps force close. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this?

In case it matters, the old phone was a B08, the new one a B10 Orange San Francisco. The ROM is Swedish Spring r5.

I've tried both with and without wiping cache and data before restoring.

has your new phone got a different partition layout, and does your nandroid backup fit on the new one?

Also try reflashing the ROM without wiping Data

No, should be the same. I TPT'ed JJ onto both phones before putting on SS, to ensure identical partitions.

Tried with and without wiping.

In case it matters, I was using Clockwork 3.0.2.8.

Hardly worth the effort of trying to "fix" it....you have a backup, blow everything away and start again.

I don't understand what you are suggesting. I restored my backup more than once, (without and with wiping) and it doesn't work. Google apps FC.

If nandroid backups are not transferable between phones, that's a serious limitation.

Is it only the gapps that crash? Have you tried reinstalling gapps?

Many other bits of the phone seem to run OK. I dont have individual apks for most of the gapps.

Anyway, I have got round the problem by reinstalling SS rls 5, and letting Market the apps back (apart from a few I pushed on myself and kept copies of). I've then restored the app data for non-system apps using Titanium backup, and I seem to be about back where I was. Just as well there was a plan B...
